This is our new blog for Sacramento Transit Advocates and Riders (STAR), the Sacramento area transit advocacy citizen’s organization.

The blog will share information about transit within Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) and the entire Sacramento region. Where STAR has taken positions on issues, it will present our position, and explain why. The topic of the moment is Measure B, the Sacramento County sales tax for transit ballot measure. We oppose Measure B, and will provide information about exactly why we oppose it, and what we’d like to see instead.

STAR is an open organization. Please join us by following this blog, checking our Facebook page, and attending our meetings and public meetings on transit (see the Events page). We are not yet a formal membership organization, so all it takes to be a member is expressing interest and showing up!
