Sacramento Transit Advocates and Riders (STAR) requests that the next transportation measure be on the November 2020 ballot, and not be on the 2018 ballot. We believe that a robust public engagement process, involving the Sacramento Transportation Authority along with the county, cities, and Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT), is absolutely critical to developing a transportation measure that represents community needs and priorities, and can be successful. Since no engagement process has begun, except with SacRT, we believe that it is not possible to engage the community and develop an expenditure plan and measure for the 2018 ballot.
