Another item of interest from the SacRT Forward Alternatives Report is the Route Frequencies and Service Span for existing routes graphic, shown below. SacRT has only four high frequency routes during on weekdays: 1, 30, 51 and 81. There are no high frequency routes on weekends, except for the arena shuttle, 51X, which is just for access to Golden 1 Center. The white gaps on weekends are buses that don’t run at all, 20 of the 42 routes on Sunday. Of the weekday routes, 20 are 15 or 30 minutes, most of the time, and 22 are 60 minutes or more, most of the time. Squint at the graphic and you’ll see that most SacRT service is infrequent, despite the prominence of the bright red color.
