Agenda
- SacRT Forward debrief: SacRT board adopted SacRT Forward new bus network plan at the February 25 meeting. What did we learn from participating? What will we need to ask and monitor as the plan is implemented? (10 min)
- Airport bus service: Henry Li announced that SacRT would have news in the near future about airport bus service. Is this in partnership with Yolobus? What service and equipment do we want to see? Do we want to develop a position and forward to SacRT? (20 min)
- Homeless facility at Florin light rail: Do we want to develop a position on this? What would we like to know about it? It it on the March 11 SacRT agenda, item 11, for information, not decision. (10 min)
- SacRT representation in SACOG: Proposed letter to SACOG chair and ED requesting that SacRT be assigned ex officio membership on the SACOG/JPA board. (10 min)
- Action Team
- Next Meeting: The 350Sacramento Community Forum: Fast Track to Vision Zero is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 9:00AM-4:00PM, with an agenda expected to be similar to prior events, with plenary in the morning and breakout sessions in the afternoon. Should we cancel or reschedule our April meeting? (10 min)
- Meeting time/day/location: Future meetings will not be on the second Saturday at Organize Sacramento. They don’t want us there on that day. We can change our day, or our week, or just find a new place to meet (preferably handicap accessible and transit accessible). (10 min)
- Attendance: Attendance has fallen off: is there an action we should take to improve attendance? (10 min)
- Report Backs: Reports from meetings of agencies and other organizations, since our last Action Team meeting, that are critically relevant to STAR and/or may result in action items. (10 min)
Agendas and other documents are not printed, so if you want a printed copy, print your own. Any member of the public may attend Action Team meetings, but only persons recognized as Action Team members may vote on issues and positions.
Events will now be on the groups.io calendar at https:// sacramentotransitadvocates.groups.io/g/main/calendar. You may subscribe to the calendar in your own calendar application at https://SacramentoTransitAdvocates.groups.io/g/main/ics/3382088/1539210811/ feed.ics.
Brief update on the Action Team meeting. The support of STAR, and other organizations, for SacRT Forward at the recent SacRT board meeting was critical for passing the new network plan. We are very interested in the upcoming plan to serve the airport with higher frequency electric bus service, but do not have enough information yet to take a position. We have mixed feelings about the homeless facility at Florin light rail, and will monitor the plans. We will send a letter to SACOG requesting SacRT ex officio membership. We will continue to meet at Organize Sacramento on the dates set in our calendar, through June, except that we will not meet in April. At the May meeting we will consider our meeting plans for July and beyond. Some of our members may attend the 350Sac sponsored Community Forum: Fast Track to Carbon Zero. Feeling that the SACOG Transportation Committee is an important place for STAR to have a voice, we will aim to make sure we have a representative at every meeting.
