STAR Action Team Agenda July 13

  1. STAR top issues: At the June 8th meeting the Action Team Identified STAR’s top issues as:
    • The next tax measure, with clearly defined goals, and a tax expenditure plan (TEP) based on those goals (SacTA)
    • SACOG funding; beyond sales tax funding, most other transit funding flows through SACOG, but SACOG has been underinvesting in transit.
    • SacRT transparency, particularly reporting back on the results of pilot project and changes in policy or operation
  2.  Sacramento Transit Authority Meeting, Thursday, August 8, 2019 1:30pm-2:30pm
    SacRT will be explaining their unmet needs to SacTA in preparation for the development of the TEP (transportation expenditure plan)for the transportation ballot measure in 2020. STAR should definitely comment. It would be good if STAR had the SacRT presentation beforehand.
    All meetings of the Sacramento Transportation Authority are at the Sacramento County Administration Building, 700 H St, Suite 1450 (the supervisors chambers), Sacramento, at 1:30PM, unless announced otherwise.

3. Schedule of  the Sacramento Transit Authority meetings to develop the Transportation Expenditure Plan (TEP) for the transportation ballot measure for 2020. STAR should identify who is going to attend August 8th and September 12th SacTA mtgs. A STAR statement, or standing with SacMoves for their statement, may be appropriate.
