SacRT has opened a page on the 2022-2027 update of the Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP), branded as SacRT On the Move. The ‘Review the Draft SRTP Document’ button is not working at the moment, but fortunately we have a pdf copy. It is a long document. We removed the four pages that are about the April 2022 service changes, see SacRT service changes (reductions) for April for those. It is a big document – 151 pages. When we have a chance to review it ourselves, we will post to direct you to some key parts and issues. Your comments and questions are welcome.
STAR is on record as opposed to any extension of the light rail system until a comprehensive study is conducted that considers ridership and service implications of each of the potential extensions. So STAR will object to section 5, Capital Improvement Planning, which treats the Green Line to the Airport extension as an already adopted project simply awaiting funding.
