The map below includes SacRT fixed bus routes and light rail, overlain on disadvantaged community information. The low-income high-minority map layer is the SACOG Environmental Justice 2020 data, which is also referred to as low-income high-minority (LIHM). This dataset is only one of many that could be used, but it was selected because it is the layer that SACOG (Sacramento Area Council of Governments) used in its most recent SCS (Sustainable Communities Strategy) plan. Others include CalEnviroScreen 4, which is weighted towards environmental challenges but includes some income weighting, SB 535 Disadvantaged Communities (DAC), which is weighted towards income but includes other measures, and of course just simple data layers of income and ethnicity. All of these data sources tend to point to the same neighborhoods, which have been disinvested over time. Disadvantaged communities are generally defined as the areas throughout California which most suffer from a combination of economic, health, and environmental burdens.

The map (pdf) only covers the core of the SacRT system. It does not include Folsom, Elk Grove, airport, or UC Davis. The Gold and Blue line light rail are shown in their native colors. The two high frequency routes (15 minute), Route 1 Greenback and Route 51 Stockton/Broadway, are shown in red; all other bus routes (30 minute) are shown in black. Routes with frequency less than 30 minutes are not shown. Route 81 Florin has 15 minutes service for a portion of the weekday. Route 30 J St and 38 Tahoe Park combine to provide 15 minute service on part of their routes.
