Does SacRT listen to its Mobility Advisory Council? Who knows.

Take a look at the Mobility Advisory Council (MAC) webpage. Agendas are posted for every meeting. But minutes of those meetings? Never. It must be that SacRT does not want the public to know what was said or decided at the meetings. The agendas are set by SacRT staff, not by the council. We have heard from MAC members that the issues they want to talk about seldom show up on the agendas.

STAR requests of SacRT:

  1. Minutes be posted for every meeting, no later than one week before the next meeting.
  2. A brief summary of MAC meetings be part of the General Manager’s report at every board meeting. The board and the public need to know what is being discussed, and not discussed, at the meetings.
