The two table below show the average weekday boardings for the light rail Blue Line and Gold Line, in March 2021. The data is from the SacRT ‘Monthly’ Quarterly Ridership Report for June 2021, The tables are sorted by boardings. This is the last report for which SacRT included such data in its reports, so more recent data is not available to the public. Pre-pandemic data would of course be higher for all stations, and the pattern might vary. Weekend boardings may also vary from this pattern, but that data is not available to the public. This is just a snapshot in time, useful for seeing general patterns, but no necessarily representative of light rail ridership over time or today.
16th Street Station is the major transfer point between the Blue Line and the Gold Line, therefore has the second highest boardings on the Blue Line and first on the Gold Line. On the Blue Line, Watt/I-80 is the north end of the line and a major bus transfer point, while CRC (Cosumnes River College) Station is the south end of the line, a major destination, and a bus transfer point. On the Gold Line, 29th Street Station is a bus transfer point, Mather Field/Mills Station is a bus transfer point, and University/65th Street Station is a major bus transfer point and access to Sacramento State.
The Green Line is not included because it exists for political reasons and not readership reasons.
