At the community meeting, the city had a display board with three cross-sections. I have labeled these A, B, and C, from the top. The diagrams showed all three cross-sections as identical widths, which they clearly are not. On the diagrams, segments are not labeled with widths, so it is impossible to tell if the widths are realistic. When asked about overall bridge width, city staff said 70 to 90 feet.
In an effort to re-create these diagrams, we used StreetMix. Our diagrams are similar to but not the same as the city’s. We don’t know if the city used a different software platform or whether they are using a proprietary version that has different elements. For our diagrams, several caveats. We started with the standard widths that StreetsMix proposes for each element, but then adjusted these to best match the visual widths on the city diagrams. Our estimates could be completely off, but the relative size of each element is at least visually equivalent. The diagrams below, however, will show as the same overall width.. This is a limitation of WordPress, not intended to obscure the measurements.
StreetsMix defaults to metric measurements, I we have not figured out how to put these back into Imperial measurements, but for each cross-section, the total is offered in both units.

Truxell Bridge cross-section A, estimated 69 feet (21 meters)

For the sake of comparison, we also diagramed the original proposed bridge with transit, walking and bicycling, but no motor vehicles.

Quite a difference!
