SacRT Board meeting March 11

The SacRT Board of Directors meeting will be this coming Monday, March 11, 2024, starting at 4:30PM. The agenda does not appear to include anything earthshaking or controversial. The public can attend the meeting in person, at SacRT Headquarters, 1400 29th St, or view it online via YouTube during the meeting, or afterwards on cable. The public may submit comments via email, no later than 1:00PM of the day of the meeting, or in person. The public may comment on items on the consent calendar, however, only board members can request that an item be removed from the consent calendar and discussed by the board. Otherwise, the consent calendar is approved without discussion and with one vote. The consent calendar makes meetings more efficient by combining issues that staff feels do not need discussion, however, on occasion issues sneak on to the consent agenda that really do deserve discussion.

The General Manager’s Report, agenda item 8.1, includes an Overall Performance Scorecard (pdf) and is shown below.

It is interesting to see how SacRT views itself. Though transit advocates and riders agree that SacRT is much improved from 10 years ago, I doubt that any rider would rank SacRT at 97.34 out of 100. There are still so many issues that could be improved in operational excellence, community value, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. What score would you give SacRT?

STAR will not always post about upcoming meeting agendas. We recommend that you join the Ridership for the Masses (RFTM) email list, by emailing rftm@rftm.info. RFTM always emails the agendas and highlights agenda items of particular interest to advocates and riders.
