SacRT Route 11 30-minute service

Construction of a new light rail station on the Green Line at 7th Street & Railyards Blvd will close the Green Line light rail for a period of time, likely to be April to December this year, 2025. The station will be built according to SacRT standards, but will be paid for by the group associated with the new soccer stadium, called Indomitable. The company will be funding increased frequency on Route 11 Natomas/Land Park, 30 minutes, in order to compensate for the closed light rail service. It is not clear whether this service increase will apply to just the northern part of the route, of the entire route.

STAR has been unable to find specifics on the project, but will share them when found.

It is not clear whether Route 11 will return to 45-minute service when light rail is reopened, or whether SacRT will find funding to keep the bus service at 30 minutes.

Ironically, the Green Line will be closed again with the reconstruction at Sacramento Valley Station which will link the Gold Line and the Green Line. This project was funded at least in part by a major state grant under Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program (TIRCP) in 2022, but we have no idea when the city will start or complete that project. See TIRCP grants for Sac region.
