SacAdapt

SacRT and The City of Sacramento Office of Climate Action and Sustainability are collaborating on the SacAdapt Transportation Adaptation Plan. This effort is funded by a Caltrans Adaptation Planning Grant, and will guide the City and SacRT in preparing for climate impacts to our transportation system, like extreme heat, flooding and high winds.

The quick summary: As Sacramento faces increasing challenges from extreme weather—like intense heat, flooding, and high winds—SacAdapt is a vital step toward ensuring our transportation system remains safe, accessible, and resilient.  Together, SacRT and the city aim to develop a plan that prioritizes transportation equity, sustainability, and infrastructure improvements that benefit our most vulnerable communities. For more information, see the city’s webpage SacAdapt – Transportation Adaptation Plan.

SacRT and the city want to hear from you about how extreme weather has impacted your travels around Sacramento! Fill out this online survey now through March 5 to share how storms, heat, or other extreme weather have impacted how you get around Sacramento.

The readers of this blog are probably not the riders most affected by extreme weather, so please pass along the information and survey link to people you know who are more likely affected.
