SacRT is hosting a number of Transit Idea Exchange Workshops over the next two months. The workshops are designed to engage community members in discussions examining transit’s impact on our daily lives — and SacRT wants your voice at the table.
Part of the purpose of the workshops is to determine transit services that voters will support, and to increase aupport for funding to implement those services. It is likely that there will be either a transportation sales tax measure, county-wide and including transit, or a SacRT transit-focused measure covering some part of the SacRT service area.
STAR reminds our readers that potential services are not just about infrastructure projects, like light rail to…, but about frequent and reliable service on the existing bus routes and light rail routes.

SacRT is requesting RSVP to marketing@sacrt.com, or a link on the webpage above. There will also be at least one in Elk Grove.
SacRT is also tabling at many different events over the next couple of months countywide. As part of tabling, there will a qualitative survey option for people to fill out that is helping to garner similar feedback in lieu of an in-person transit idea exchange.
