STAR responses to Hinz 2025-07-28 presentation #1

At the 2025-07-28 board meeting, agenda item 4.1, Customer Response & Feedback/Light Rail Update presentation, by Lisa Hinz, VP Security, Safety, Customer Satisfaction & Facilities, was full of obfuscation. This will not show up in the slides themselves, so we have to recommend that you also view the meeting recording on YouTube. The presentation starts at 30:09. The audio may not play in some browsers, but you can turn on closed captions to see what was being said.

There will be a series of posts highlighting STAR’s concerns with the presentation. We aren’t sure how many, as we are in the process of reviewing the slides and the audio that goes with them.

Slide 3 addresses response to customer calls. This includes, presumably, emergency calls and calls about other issues. The presentation not mention response, if any, to concerns submitted though the Alert SacRT app, nor comments made at board meetings by the public and board members, or at Mobility Advisory Council meetings. If there is a system for tracking and responding to these, it was not mentioned.
