The Ride SacRT app has been replaced with the ZipPass app. SacRT from the beginning said that the Ride SacRT smartphone app was a pilot, and might be replaced by another app, and that has come to pass. The new app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store, or on Google Paly for Android store. I’ve (Dan) used the app once, and it seems functionally identical to the old app. As unusual, some of the drivers seem a bit confused by the app, but that should fade out over time.
We recommend that all riders, who are able, use either the Connect Card or the mobile app. I (Dan) watched an elderly gentleman fumbling with change for five minutes today. Of course the bus driver proceeded with the route, but the person was still fumbling at the next stop, when another set of people got on, and had to wait. If you can, please use the card or app, for the sake of other riders, to keep the bus on schedule.
Thanks for the notice about the ZipPass. Will put it on my phone today.
