SacRT Forward alternative maps

The SacRT Forward (route optimization study) alternatives report is now available at https://sacrtforward.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Smaller-low-res-Alternatives-Report-20181010.pdf. This report, though not ready at the time of the stakeholder meeting #2 (September 27), was the basis of the presentation there. Participants received printed copies of maps, the two of which below are heart of the report and the decisions to be made about whether to move the system toward coverage or frequency (ridership). Click on each graphic for the full pdf.

  1. By the way, it was probably a mistake to create maps that used existing route numbers. Many people look only at ‘their’ bus route and don’t look at the overall system patterns. Assigning letters or numbers not in the range of existing numbers would have allowed people to focus on the pattern as well as route specifics.
