The City of Sacramento with other partners is undertaking public outreach for a complete streets project on Broadway in Oak Park, with a community meeting on Wednesday, November 7, 4:30 to 6:30. Envision Broadway will impact transit to some degree, since the SacRT Route 51 runs on this section, and Route 68 a small portion. Well planned complete streets project support transit, but in a limited corridor there are always tradeoffs between pedestrians, bicyclists, transit riders and buses, and motor vehicles. The earlier pop-up workshops had a few comments about transit, but the great majority were about pedestrian safety. There are five planning projects along the Broadway, and this is one of them (see map below).
